Our project was nominated for "European Citizen' Prize of the European Parliament".
In 2008, the European Parliament introduced the European Citizens' Prize. It is intended to reward on annual basis individuals or groups who have particularly distinguished themselves in strengthening European integrations by the expression of European cooperation, openness to others and practical involvement in the development of mutual understanding. It is awarded upon nominations of Members of European Parliament.
The European Citizens' Prize is intended to reward citizens, groups or associations or organisations for their actions promoting a better understanding and closer integration between citizens of the Members States, through cross-border cooperation within the European Union giving concrete expression to the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union.
Here you can read an article about the nomination of our project.

World Down Syndrome Day takes place on 21 March every year. This date (21/3) represents the 3 copies of chromosome 21, which is unique to people with Down Syndrome.
21 March 2012 marks the 7th anniversary of World Down Syndrome Day and for the first time in 2012 this day will be officially observed by the United Nations. Each year the voice of people with Down Syndrome, and those who live and work with them, grows louder. But there is still so much more we can do.
On this day, the Polish team spent the afternoon together with collegues with the Down Syndrome participating in the project, Michal and Olek.
